Brier

Our foundation sire, Brier, an amazing Llewellin Setter...Brier, is a full-hooded, tricolor Llewellin Setter, now 5 years old. He is king of Laurel Mountain Llewellins, king of our home and king dog on any hunt. Brier is an absolute sweetheart and has a very gentle spirit. He is all business in the field, always hunting and can find an bird anywhere if there is one. Brier was our first Llewellin from Lynnhill Llewellin Setters and is out of Count Gladstone Wind'em and Lynnhill Bondhu Legacy, a pair that produced some of the finest bird dogs there are.

Brier is truly an absolutely amazing bird dog. He is a classic Llewellin Setter in every way including style, looks, and natural abilities. Brier works at a medium range and adjusts this according to cover and hunting conditions. He hunts smart, long, and hard with amazing stamina, drive and a lovely gait. He makes it look completely effortless.

Brier's pups inherit his natural abilities, style, class, and intelligence. We hear over and over from folks that his pups are the best in their kennel... best dog they ever owned... best dog they ever trained...

Stud Service?

Brier is sometimes available for stud service to select Llewellin hunting bitches that with excellent confirmation, natural inherited abilities, style and must have passed all health certifications (hips, eyes, ears, and a brucellosis) and we will require proof of all certifications before the breeding will take place. The bitch must also be FDSB registered and DNA'd and we will also need to see these documents and retain copies of both. Sorry, we will no longer breed Brier to English Setter bitches, just FDSB registered Llewellin Setters. The fee is $500.00 and is payable at the time of service at our kennels. In some cases, we will request pick of the litter (usually a female), instead of the fee. A return breeding is offered in the event the breeding did not produce a litter. Other conditions also apply. Please contact us for details.
