Remus

Elm Hill's Remus, bred by Steve and Jeri Fuess and now owned by Robert Mastandrea, is a magnificent creature of beauty. Our Jenna is out of Remus and we can't say enough wonderful things about Jenna or Remus. We got to hunt over Remus on Ruffed Grouse this fall and fell in love with this dog. He has the most wonderful personality and demeanor. He is very loyal to Bob and was a joy to be around. He hunts with confidence and such style that you are immediately in awe of him--and to see him on point is a sight to behold.

We have fantastic males but this pairing with Remus is more fitting to Maddie than with any of our own at this time. We feel there are many similarities between the two and will make a very consistent lot of pups. The personalities and demeanor of both are very similar. The hunting style, the gait, the build... this is a wonderful pairing. If these puppies are anything even remotely close to the level of style, ability, bird-sense, confidence, drive, and personality of Remus, Maddie, and Jenna, these will be flat-out excellent pups with potential for just about anything from the grouse dog to the field dog--as they will possess the attitude and confidence to take on whatever you train them for.

Puppies will be ready to go to their new hunting homes after January 28th, 2010 or February 4th for flying.

All puppies, male or female, are $900.00. A $200.00 deposit secures your spot in the picking order.

Maddie

Maddie is a pure joy--both in the home and in the field. Out of Shay and Luke, she has inherited the best of the best in abilities, style, and loyal personality. She is flat-out deadly in the field and can nail any upland bird. She has a beautiful, effortless gait and can hunt all day. Maddie has inherited the curly top knot of her ancestors.
